Amenities & Lifestyle
Activities, Dining, and Daily Life at Heritage
The best part of life at Heritage is not a checklist of amenities. It is having people to see, places to go, and something to look forward to. On an ordinary Tuesday, someone may be working on a puzzle in the lobby, friends may be gathering for an activity, and if bingo is starting, you will probably know it.
Something to Look Forward To
Activities and Outings
Bingo is on the calendar most days, and residents take it seriously. Beyond that, our activities director keeps a monthly calendar that is posted around the building and delivered to every resident. Residents can join as much or as little as they like.
Regular and recurring favorites include:
Weekly Walmart Outings
A resident favorite. People look forward to getting out, browsing, and picking up a few things of their own, even though everyday essentials are provided. It is a simple outing that keeps everyday choice and independence in the routine.
Live Entertainment
Musicians and performers visit the main living room, often several times a month.
Games and Puzzles
An upstairs game room with a pool table, plus puzzles going in the common areas most days.
Resident Committee
Residents have a real voice in the community. They can share ideas, raise concerns, and weigh in on activities, food, events, and other parts of everyday life. This is their home, so their opinions belong in the conversation.
Outings vary by season and interest. Residents have gone to ball games, on fishing trips, and on the occasional casino run. Specific outings depend on the current calendar, and we share upcoming events on the website and our social pages.

Dining at Heritage
Food People Actually Look Forward To
Meals matter at Heritage. Residents receive a monthly menu so they can see what is coming up, but no one is stuck with a plate they do not want. Alternatives are always available, and dietary needs are accommodated. The goal is simple: good food, real variety, and choices at the table.
The kitchen also has fun with themed meals and special occasions throughout the year. Dining is a social part of the day, not just a meal to get through. Residents can sit with friends, enjoy familiar favorites, try something different, and choose an alternative when they want one. Family members are welcome to join residents for a meal for a small guest fee.
Moments That Matter
Celebrations and Traditions
There is always something worth celebrating at Heritage. Residents gather each month to recognize birthdays, and holidays bring traditions of their own. Christmas is especially meaningful, with families joining residents, staff taking part, and every resident receiving a gift. These are the moments that make people feel known, included, and celebrated.
Faith & Fellowship
Spiritual Life
Heritage offers spiritual programming for residents who wish to participate, including Bible studies, worship services, and visits from local churches and pastors. Programming varies throughout the year, and participation is always a choice.
Choice & Participation
Residents Have a Voice
The resident committee is one way Heritage protects independence. Residents can speak up about activities, food, events, and everyday life, and their feedback can help shape the community they live in. Along with meal choices, Walmart outings, apartment options, and optional activities, it reinforces a simple idea: getting help should not mean losing your voice.
Support is meant to make life easier, not make every resident’s day look the same.
